The West Collingswood Heights Fire Company provides pre-hospital emergency medical care via a two-tiered system. Basic life support service is provided by the members of the West Collingswood Heights Fire Company assigned to BLS Unit 1577 who are all NJ Certified Emergency Medical Technicians. The 2nd tier is the Paramedics from Virtua Hospital or Inspira Health Network who provide Advance Life Support (ALS). Should the ambulance be out on other calls, emergency medical care is still provided by our neighboring town Westmont Fire Department.
BLS 1577 is a 2016 Ford E-450 Horton 553B which was delivered February 2016. BLS 1577 is fully equipped with the necessary BLS equipment mandated from the State of New Jersey - Department of Health.
